Department of Physiotherapy

The outpatient department of physiotherapy is located in basement of new building of Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital, Indore (M.P).Physiotherapy OPD which consists of all the basic modalities along with advanced technology. Also there is a well maintained exercise therapy room where all the appliances which provide proper rehabilitation to the patient .We have very well equipped rooms according to various branches like neurology, orthopedic, sports, obs & gynecology, cardiothoracic, pediatric to provide proper services to patient. We deal with patients suffering from all the conditions like stroke, fractures, Sports athlete, gynecology patients and cardio patients. We have a great team of physiotherapists providing satisfying treatment. Along with this we have new advancements like cupping therapy, taping, which is a new concept of treating patients. We also do manipulation and mobilization techniques along with some influence to osteopathy treatment. Neurodevelopment approaches and Bobath techniques are center of attraction in the OPD along with various approaches of combined electrotherapy and advancements.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational Therapy (OT) is an Allied Health care Profession It addresses problem of differently able persons and uses specific intervention procedures and activities to restore lost function, compensate for disability and promote health and wellness. It steps beyond the 'prevention and cure' mantra to the maximize independence of the individual. It focuses on recuperation, giving confidence to people whose disability may be caused by a stroke, a mental illness, a physical and mental weariness because of cardiac or other illnesses or even a hereditary deficiency.

In occupational therapy, occupations refer to the everyday activities that people do as individuals, in families and with communities to occupy time and bring meaning and purpose to life. Occupations include things people need to, want to and are expected to do.
