Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational Therapy (OT) is an Allied Health care profession that addresses the needs of differently-abled individuals. It focuses on restoring lost function, compensating for disabilities, and promoting health and wellness. Unlike the traditional "prevention and cure" approach, OT aims to maximize the independence of individuals facing challenges caused by stroke, mental illnesses, cardiac conditions, or hereditary deficiencies.

In occupational therapy, 'occupations' refer to the everyday activities that people engage in, which bring meaning and purpose to their lives. These activities include things people need to do, want to do, and are expected to do in their personal, family, and community lives.

O.P.D. Division of Occupational Therapy Department includes the following units:

  • Rehabilitation / Adult Section
